Hosted by the Center for Diversity and Inclusion and the Division of Student Affairs

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Usama Shaikh from Stonybrook University to lead a workshop on Islamophobia titled Standing Together: Countering and Expelling Islamophobia. The goals of the workshop are:

  • to train and empower WashU students to better understand the needs of our student community, the diversity of the Muslim community and the challenges of islamophobia, particularly on campus,
  • to foster a positive campus climate for all students
  • and to understand the structural forces that contribute to the rise of Islamophobia.

Please direct questions to Dr. Jacob Chacko (chackoj@wustl.edu), the executive director for the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
