The Center for Career Engagement will host the 2025 Career Expo on Wed., Sept. 17 and Thurs. Sept. 18 from 3-6 p.m. at the Athletic Complex on the Danforth Campus.
“The Career Expo brings hundreds of employers to WashU to meet directly with our students because employers want to hire WashU students and graduates; they stand out in the job market,” said Norma Guerra Gaier, associate vice chancellor for career development and education.
At the Expo, students can connect with organizations from a wide range of industries, including:
- Business
- Creative Industries
- Entrepreneurship
- Government
- Health Care
- Sciences
- Social Impact
- Technology
“Employers are very interested in WashU talent because our students are equipped with the skills and the ambition to contribute at a high level—and they do,” said Guerra Gaier. “Many of our employers often cite the strengths that WashU students possess, not only the skills and competencies but the maturity that our students bring to their organizations, where they are immediate contributors at a high level within their organizations.”

Guerra Gaier stressed that the Career Expo is for all students, no matter the school, major or class level, and that first-year students are encouraged to attend to learn about the vast number of career opportunities that await them.
“Employers are so impressed when first-year students show up to learn more about their organizations and the possibilities” said Guerra Gaier. “The job market landscape has changed quite a bit, and I would say that depending on the industry and type of role, there’s a significant number of employers at career events that will consider first-year talent.”
This premier, two-day recruiting event is open to all schools, majors, class levels, undergraduate, graduate, PhD, Post Doc and MBA students. Students can register on Handshake.
