Dear Danforth Campus students,
Due to inclement weather conditions, WashU will switch to alternate operations as of Sunday, January 5, 2025. The following will be in effect through Monday, January 6, 2025:
- Classes and all student co-curricular activities, including programs and practices, on the Danforth Campus will be moved to virtual, or canceled. For classes, students will receive a Zoom link or other instructions from their instructors.
- The Sumers Recreation Center has closed all recreation facilities, programs, and services for Sunday, January 5, and Monday, January 6. For updates on hours, see here.
- Dining Services will have modified hours. Check the Special Dining Hours site for details.
- These changes do not apply to operations on the Medical Campus. If you are a student in the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences (DBBS), please communicate directly with your Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure essential duties are covered.
We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, January 7, unless otherwise notified.
Additional details and updates will be available on emergency.washu.edu. Please check the site for news and information on when normal activities will resume. You can follow the Emergency Management team on Facebook and X (@WashUReady) and monitor WashU Alerts for ongoing weather preparedness information and to receive emergency text messages.
Please stay safe and warm over the coming days as we look toward a great start to the spring semester.
Warmly,
Anna “Dr. G” Gonzalez
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
