WashU’s Division of Student Affairs invites students, faculty, and staff to join Leadership Week, a weeklong series of events designed to uplift leadership capacity, spark new ideas, and build stronger connections across the WashU community. Organized by the Bauer Leaders Academy in collaboration with campus partners, Leadership Week offers interactive workshops, keynote talks, experiential challenges, and community conversations.

“Leadership Week is an annual WashU initiative to celebrate and deepen leadership across campus,” said Julia Macias director of student leader development for Bauer Leaders Academy. “Through curated programs, participants explore leadership in practice, share perspectives, and strengthen the university’s leadership culture.”

See the full calendar of events, including the Leadership Keynote with Dr. LJ Punch on Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. in Emerson Auditorium, a fireside conversation on community resilience and recovery following the May 2025 St. Louis tornado.

“Leadership Week is more than just a slate of events — it’s a catalyst for culture,” said Macias. “Its goals are to showcase a diversity of leadership stories from across the WashU community, to provide hands-on opportunities to practice leadership skills in real settings, and to honor leadership journeys and achievements across students, faculty, and staff.”

All events are open to the WashU community.

Leadership is one of the Division of Student Affairs’ five anchors that deliver a transformative student experience. Student Affairs helps students at WashU discover their leadership potential and shape a future grounded in purpose and impact.
