Dear colleagues,

My thoughts continue to be with everyone on our team and in the region in the aftermath of Friday’s devastating storms. Several of you have asked what you can do to help. The United Way of Greater St. Louis has identified service opportunities in the region. If you are able to join me, I will be working a shift from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22 in partnership with CareStlHealth and I invite 24 of you to join me. They are coordinating storm recovery volunteers.

If you are interested, please email Corrin Molczyk who is helping me with logistics. Please include your mobile phone number in your reply. We will sign up our group once we reach 24 volunteers. For priority consideration, please sign up by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20.

Please consult with your supervisor before signing up to make sure you have approval. I have consulted with Human Resources and this will be considered a work-related professional development opportunity, which means you do not need to take vacation and, if you are an hourly employee, you may log these hours for WashU during the time you are volunteering.

If you are not able to volunteer, I would point you towards this opportunity to donate needed supplies through the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

Warmly,

Warmly,

Anna “Dr. G.” Gonzalez
